COMPLETELY INDOORS IN ONE LOCATION
AT RFK STADIUM/DC ARMORY
Can I purchase tickets on line?
Yes, and we highly recommend that you do so you can avoid the Entry Gate lines and go directly to our Will Call window to pick them up when you arrive.
What is the Fast Pass and do you offer one?
Yes, the Fast Pass is similar to what you see at amusement parks which allow patrons to more quickly access rides. Fast Pass holders have their own separate access to the event - one fee covers quick entry to both haunted houses = great value!!
Do you have police/security on-site?
Yes. In addition to the security cameras, Scream City Washington DC haunted houses are staffed with numerous plain clothes police and security personnel. Numerous regular police officers are staffed at the Stadium/Armory Metro station and in the parking lots, in addition to the immediate event grounds.
What is an appropriate age for Scream City Washington DC Haunted Houses?
This attraction is extremely scary with numerous scenes that are not intended for children. Both haunted houses are staffed with actors that are experienced in scaring people at a high level. It is difficult to recommend an appropriate age for our event since each person is different, however, we believe 13 is around the youngest anyone should be and they should have an adult with them to sign the waiver and be there for them. Parental discretion is advised.
Will any of the actors grab me?
The actors in both haunted houses are trained and professional and have been instructed not to intentionally touch or grab any of the patrons, however, we cannot guarantee they wont accidentally bump or touch you as the environment is purposely dark and disorienting and full of moving and emotional people. We cannot guarantee that accidents will not happen and that you won’t be touched. Enter at your own risk.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept AMEX and Discovery too in addition to Visa and MC.
What happens if it rains?
Scream City Washington DC is housed indoors and is protected from the elements. We are an enclosed event and are open rain or shine unless weather becomes dangerous or too slow due to lack of weather related attendance.
Do you have tour, visitor or group discounts?
Yes. Groups of 15 to 2,500 should contact 240-366-7273 to learn more about discounts and logistics for a smooth arrival and entry. Groups must make an advanced reservation in order to obtain the discount.
Do you have discounts for children?
No - everyone pays the same price. Scream City Washington DC is not recommend for children. This event is extremely scary and intense.
Should I be concerned if I have medical conditions?
Enter at your own risk. There are inherent risks associated with participating in the Scream City Washington DC event. These haunted houses are intended to be dimly lit and extremely scary. Trails, que lines and pathways will be uneven, slippery and dark, and there are several special effects, including strobe lights, loud noises, flames, vertigo tunnel, claustrophobia tunnels, fog effects and many others that are used throughout the various attractions that could inadvertently cause harm. Participants are REQUIRED to sign a waiver before entering and participating in the Scream City haunted house event. By entering the Scream City Washington DC haunted house or compound, you are confirming with us that you have properly completed and signed the waiver, are taking on risks and waiving your rights.
Is the event handicap accessible?
Yes. Large parts if not all of our facilities are built and designed to meet the needs of our customers with disabilities, depending on your needs. Please contact 240-366-7273 to make advanced arrangements.
Do you sell food or alcohol?
No. No food, drink, alcohol or drugs are allowed at Scream City Washington DC haunted houses. If you are deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the police and/or security on site will remove you from the premises immediately with no refund.
If I get too scared can I get a refund?
No. The point of participating in the event is to be scared! We have properly set the expectation about how scary Scream City Washington DC is and you are making a decision to participate by buying a ticket.
When is the best time to come so we can avoid a long wait?
To avoid the biggest crowds, come in early October, or on a Thursday or Sunday night. If you come on a Friday or Saturday - arrive as early as possible. The closer the dates are to Halloween, the more crowded and longer the lines will be. Buy a Fast Pass - trust us on this one!!
What should I wear?
The event is indoor but the grounds or parking lots can be slippery, uneven and wet. Long pants and sturdy shoes are highly recommended. Flips flops, opened toed shoes and high heels are a really really bad idea no matter how good they look.
